Public card telephone boxes are silver, coin telephone boxes are yellow; both types are located in all public places and are also found outdoors with great ease. Maltacom phone cards (telecards) can be obtained from any outlet displaying the Telecard logo. Dial 194 for an international operator or 190 for local directory assistance.
Mobile Telephony: Malta is serviced by two mobile telephony companies: Vodafone and GoMobile. The latter is a subsidiary of Maltacom. The frequency used is 900MHz, like the rest of Europe.
Fax: Maltacom PLC provides an international service through its offices and branches. Fax service is also available at nearly all hotels.

Postal Service: Good postal services exist within the island, with a post-office in all towns and villages, and a wide network of mail boxes. The postal service in Malta is inexpensive and efficient. Stamps can be obtained from post offices, hotels, newsagents and certain souvenir shops. All the leading international courier-delivery services are available on the island.
Internet and Email: There are several internet cafes in the island, mostly located in the more touristic areas.
Press: The two daily English-language newspapers published on the island areThe Times of Malta and the Malta Independent. Both are also published on Sundays. The two Maltese dailies are L-Orizzont and In-Nazzjon Taghna. The business-dedicated newspapers are The Malta Business Weekly and the Business Times. Radio Stations: Malta has the highest number of radio stations per capita in the world, with 9 radio stations currently broadcasting, and increasing. A number of radio stations broadcast in English. Some of them broadcast over the internet (Go to Radio Stations). One can also listen to the BBC World, Voice of America, and a number of Italian Radio Stations whose transmissions reach over to Malta.
Television Stations: Most hotels offer a wide choice of local and foreign television stations either via Cable or a Satellite link.
